LSBU welcomes new Chair of the Board of Governors
Jerry Cope has been named as the new Chair of LSBU’s Board of Governors, following the retirement of long-standing Chair David Longbottom, who served for eight yearsThe Board of Governors of London South Bank University is delighted to welcome Jerry Cope as its new Chair. Jerry has been Vice-Chair of the Board for the past year. An experienced leader, he has held senior roles at organisations including the Post Office, Royal Mail and Camelot. He is currently Chair of the NHS Pay Review Body and of the leadership and change consultancy T-three. His experience of the HE sector is vast, having previously served for seven years as Chair of the Board of Governors at Kingston University.
Jerry Cope takes over the role of Chair of the Board of Governors from outgoing chair David Longbottom. David held the position for eight years, during which time he oversaw great change, including campus development with the openings of the Clarence Centre for Enterprise and Innovation, the K2 Building and the new Student Centre, as well as ensuring the University’s long-term sustainability.
