As Head, Dr Lees will provide leadership to the multidisciplinary school and oversee programmes in Surveying, Construction, Real Estate, and Architectural Technology. Leading a community of over 1,500 students, he will drive the strategy of the School, maintain excellence across teaching and leverage research to inspire our students and drive innovation.
Dr Tim Lees said: “I am delighted to take up the role of Head of the School of Construction, Property and Surveying at London South Bank University. I look forward to working with colleagues to develop and implement a vision to enable the School to contribute to the University’s mission and to build on the good work that is already underway.”
Professor Chris Harty, incoming Executive Dean of the College of Technology and Environment, said: “We look forward to welcoming Dr Lees next year. His strong academic credentials, proven leadership and a commitment to innovation and inclusivity in higher education will equip our students with the skills needed to tackle global challenges. Tim’s strengths in pedagogy will also support the development of the School.”
Dr Lee’s appointment is the latest in our series of talent recruitment as part of our new Schools/College structure which comes into effect in January 2025. This incorporates our ten schools of study into three Colleges. This will facilitate enhanced strategic leadership across related subject areas and promote collaboration between teaching and research.
