Senior Lecturer wins PQ Magazine Award
Joe Adomako, Senior Lecturer in Accounting and Finance at London South Bank University (LSBU) has won the prestigious 'Public Sector Lecturer of the Year' award at the annual PQ Magazine AwardsEvery year PQ Magazine, a key industry publication for accounting students, holds an annual awards night rewarding the best and the greatest in the accountancy world.
Joe, who has been lecturing in Financial Reporting at institutions since 1993, won the award for his outstanding teaching for the ACCA P2 Paper.
LSBU was also shortlisted for the 'Public Sector Provider' category for its outstanding Accounting and Finance teaching provision, which is testimony to the industry's acknowledgement of the excellence in the accounting and finance teaching provision at the University.
Sarah Moore-Williams, Director of Studies for the ACCA Qualification at LSBU, said: "We are so proud to have Joe on our team. The award is recognition of the outstanding teaching and dedicated support Joe has consistently given to students on our Undergraduate and our Professional Accounting programmes over many years.
"Additionally, being shortlisted for the Public Sector Provider award is testimony to the strengths of the whole department and the support services that work with us to ensure we deliver a first class experience to our all students."
The award adds to the success of the Accounting and Finance Department, which was recently awarded ACCA Gold Status and has just achieved a 100 per cent pass rate for the Fundamental Level (F Papers) of the University's ACCA provision.
