If you're thinking of studying with us at London South Bank University (LSBU), our entry requirements, scholarships and details of how to apply are laid out below to help you with your application.

Entry requirements

We accept a range of English language qualifications (PDF File 85 KB). Please contact the international office for further details.

Foundation entry:

  • Indian Standard XII: average of 50-55%
  • International Baccalaureate Certificate

Undergraduate entry:

  • Indian Standard XII: minimum average of 55-65% or higher (depending on exam board and LSBU course applied for)
  • 3 passes at GCE A Level (required grades dependant on LSBU course applied for)
  • International Baccalaureate Diploma: 24 points or higher
  • Accredited UK Foundation programme: minimum 55-60% or higher
  • Accredited Polytechnic/College Diploma (2 - 3 years duration) 58% or higher

Please note that some LSBU courses require specific units/subjects at Standard XII/A Level/IB etc. See individual course entry requirements for details.

Postgraduate entry:

  • Honours Degree from a prestigious Indian university: 53-55% or higher
  • Honours Degree from a recognised Indian university: 55% or higher
  • Honours Degree from a recognised international university: equivalent to UK Bachelor Degree Second Class Honours or higher

Please note that some LSBU courses require specific units/subjects for the first degree. A small number of LSBU courses also require relevant work experience. See individual course entry requirements for details.

LSBU offered exactly the modules which would help me to get better at what I was doing at my last job and also to move ahead and be a business analyst. So it was my very first choice, and it ranked amongst the best as well, so I had no hesitation in choosing LSBU.

How to apply

The process to apply for a course varies to whether you study as an undergraduate or postgraduate student. You should also find out how to apply for any available scholarships.

Visa information

As an Indian national you will need to obtain a student visa or equivalent to be able to study with us at LSBU. The main route for students to come to the UK to study is the General student visa.
