Foundation Course Requirements
To be eligible to apply for a foundation course at LSBU you will required to hold one of the following:
- Cambridge Overseas Higher School Certificate (COHSC) with marks below the entry criteria for direct entry to a degree programme
- International Baccalaureate Certificate
- one of the following English language requirements, Cambridge Overseas School Certificate (COSC): English Grade C, IELTS 4.5 or equivalent

Undergraduate Course Requirements
To be eligible to apply for an undergraduate course at LSBU you will be required to hold one of the following:
- suitable UK Foundation Course (60% minimum)
- International Baccalaureate Diploma: 24 Points
- Cambridge Overseas Higher School Certificate (COHSC)
- Ordinary Technician Diploma: Lower or Upper Credit depending on course applied for
- National Diploma - in a suitable subject: Lower or Upper Credit depending on course applied for
- Higher National Diploma in a subject not directly related to an LSBU degree course or students may be considered for Yr 1 entry only. Will need Lower Credit or Upper Credit depending on LSBU course applied for.
- English language requirements are one of the following: Cambridge Overseas School Certificate (COSC): English Grade C (with good Oral mark), IELTS 6.0 or equivalent
Year 2: Undergraduate Entry
- completed Year 1 of a relevant Mauritian Bachelor Degree. A GPA at Second Class Lower or above is required with modules covering appropriate subjects.
- Higher Technician Diploma at Lower Credit or Upper Credit depending on the LSBU course applied for.
- Diploma (2 Years) from the University of Mauritius. This must be in a relevant subject with good grades.
- Higher National Diploma at Lower Credit or Upper Credit depending on the LSBU course applied for.
- one of the following English language requirements: Cambridge Overseas School Certificate (COSC): English Grade C (with good Oral mark), IELTS 6.0 or equivalent

Postgraduate Course Requirements
To be eligible to apply for a taught postgraduate course at LSBU you will be required to hold one of the following:
- Bachelor Degree of Arts or Science (3 years) at Second Class Lower or above. A Second Class Upper is required for some courses.
- Bachelor Degree of Technology or Engineering (4 years) at Second Class Lower or above. A Second Class Upper is required for some courses.
- English language requirements are one of the following: Cambridge Overseas School Certificate (COSC): English Grade C (with good Oral mark), IELTS 6.5 or equivalent

How to apply
The process to apply for a course varies to whether you study as an undergraduate or postgraduate student. You should also find out how to apply for any available scholarships.
Visa information
As a Mauritian national you will need to obtain a student visa or equivalent to be able to study with us at LSBU. The main route for students to come to the UK to study is the student visa.
