About the School

Harness the challenge, break boundaries and find new ways to create

The School of Arts and Creative Industries (ACI) is vibrant, dynamic and constantly evolving. We’re a collective.

We challenge ourselves, harnessing the latest digital technology to break boundaries and find new ways to create. Our courses reflect the exciting, ever-changing media industry worldwide. Our students go on to help shape it.

Find your entrepreneurial spirit

Our research-informed teaching is imbued with an award-winning entrepreneurial spirit.

Many of our lecturers and tutors currently work in industry and they bring that immediate experience and invaluable, first-hand knowledge into their teaching spaces. It means you can be confident of getting professional advice and honest, accurate answers to the questions you really want to ask.

Work in professional studios

Learning and working in professionally equipped, industry-standard studios, suites and labs makes the step from studying to work a simple one.

Our success comes from our connections. We currently have established partnerships with some of the world’s most innovative and respected organisations, including the Hammersmith Lyric Theatre, the Old Vic, the BFI, Royal Opera House, BBC, The Photographers’ Gallery, BuzzFeed, Screen Skills, Ministry of Sound, BAFTA, Google, the National Theatre, the Tate, Whitechapel Gallery and many more. These open up amazing opportunities for you to practise your craft, hone your skills and make invaluable contacts. In fact we currently work with over 100 creative industry partners.

Never limit yourself

As a member of our School, you’ll never be limited to a single role. With a proven track record of successfully completed creative projects, ACI students have the contacts and portfolios they need to set out on a freelance career and enjoy the creative freedom that brings. We give you the confidence to fly – to turn your passion into purpose.
