Transnational Narratives

The project focuses on researching and documenting, through interviews and filming, the contributions of six woman architects from Pakistan and India and how they face the challenges of patriarchal societies in a professional environment dominated by men, as well as the complexities associated with their intercultural experiences in transnational contexts.

This research is conducted by a team made up of two architects, Igea Troiani (LSBU) and Mamuna Iqbal, and filmmaker Paula Roush (LSBU), who will present their findings in a scientific article and a documentary to raise awareness of and celebrate the contributions of women architects and their fundamental role in shaping the built environment and society.

Supported by Lilly Reich Grant for equality in architecture. Further info here.
