Engaging mental health services’ users and their carers
Working with service users as co-trainers and training other service users in qualitative design and analysis and in particular interviewsThis training and support project delivered six initial sessions and three other advanced ones.
This project also supported peer researchers in their participation in a research project in Lambeth examining the experiences of users of new services for people with severe mental illness using qualitative methods (in-depth interviews).
The project laid the foundation for building the capacity of local people who use health and social care services to both participate with academic research and to design and conduct their own research.
