Sexual and reproductive health and HIV services
This research consists of a series of projects to improve patient and public engagement (PPE) in sexual and reproductive health and HIV servicesThis work is led by Dr Ava Lorenc and Prof Nicola Robinson, with vital input from a multidisciplinary steering group representing various stakeholders.
The project used qualitative interviews and survey methods with a range of stakeholders, as well as extensive consultation and piloting. These have resulted in two online resources – a toolkit of over 50 PPE methods which have previously been used in this area, and an online training tool for commissioners.
This work is the first of its kind in this field. More information about the project and toolkit is available on the London Sexual Health project website.
The project commenced in 2010 and will be completed by 2015. It has been carried out by academics from our School of Health and Social Care who are carrying out research under the theme of Health and Social Care Delivery.
The funding body for this project is the London Sexual Health Programme (Department of Health).
