Behnoud Dinarvand - MSc in Finance and Accounting
Hello everyone! My name is Behnoud Dinarvand and I’m very excited to share my story with you!
I was born and raised in Tehran, Iran and my background ethnicity is Persian and Lur. I did my bachelor’s in business management with Human resources Management in Hungary and then decided to take a step further into achieving a higher-level degree, which led me to LSBU and now I’m studying MSc in Accounting and Finance at the age of 21 years old. The course staff at LSBU have been incredibly supportive throughout my studies. They are easily approachable, provide valuable feedback, and often go the extra mile to ensure that I have the resources and guidance I need to succeed.
I’m developing strong analytical thinking, improving my communication and teamwork abilities, and learning to manage time effectively. I also enhance my leadership and research skills through group projects and assignments. I am eager to learn and further develop my skill sets and expand my knowledge since this gives me all the motivation I need to wake up in the morning.
I see myself starting my career in finance or accounting, working for a reputable firm where I can gain hands-on experience in financial analysis, strategic planning, and decision-making. My goal is to master the complexities of the financial world and develop a deep understanding of business operations.
After gaining significant experience and expertise in the industry, I aspire to establish my own company. I aim to create a business that not only achieves financial success but also fosters innovation and makes a positive impact in the community. Founding my own company allows me to combine my entrepreneurial spirit with the technical knowledge I am building now.
I have professional experience in two distinct areas. I worked as a customer service executive at Covalen, where I assisted Ryanair customers with flight reservations, financial disputes, and resolving service-related issues. This role helped me develop critical problem-solving, communication, and customer relations skills, as well as the ability to stay calm under pressure.
Before that, I also worked as an HR intern, where I gained insights into people management, recruitment, and organizational dynamics. This experience provided me with a strong foundation in understanding workplace structures and interpersonal communication.
Through these roles, I realized I am more passionate about finance and accounting. I am now channelling my focus into developing my expertise in this field, intending to work in sophisticated financial roles that align with my interests and ambitions.
I advise new students to take full advantage of LSBU’s resources, connect with lecturers, and participate in campus activities and social events. Building a network and being proactive opens up many opportunities.
The best thing about my experience at LSBU is the diversity of the student community. Collaborating with peers from different cultures and backgrounds excites and inspires me. It also helps me to introduce the beautiful and epic Iranian culture to other communities.
