Luis Miguel Enriquez- BA (Hons) Game Design and Development
Where are you from and which course did you choose to study?
Hi, my name is Luis, and I am a third-year BA/BSc (Hons) Game Design and Development student at LSBU. I moved to London in 2014 from Spain. During my time in London, I became curious about the creation of various things, which led me to Engineering which I studied in Sixth Form. However, the more I learnt about 3D modelling the more I became interested in games and the capacity of creating things that could only happen in your imagination. This burning passion led me to the current course I am studying now.
Tell us about the software that you have been using and any new skills that you have learned on your degree?
Throughout my time at LSBU I have learned various skills from teamwork to critical thinking and analysis, which has helped me to create good connections with the people around me. Furthermore, I have also learned about different software, both from a university perspective and a self-driven perspective. The software that I have learnt through my time at LSBU are Unity, Maya, Substance Painter, Logic, and Audition. However, due to my curiosity and willing to learn I have also learnt different Software like: Wwise, Fmod, Blender, After Effects, Photoshop, Premier and FL Studio.
What advice would you give to people thinking about studying at LSBU?
The advice I would give to someone wanting to study at LSBU is to make sure they use the knowledge and the lecturers they have to their advantage, as well as all the resources the university has. This enables students to gain professional knowledge that will put them at an advantage, when graduating into the world of work.
