Why did you decide to study Computer Science/Information Technology?
The potential of artificial intelligence has fascinated me from a young age. I have always been intrigued by how computers work, the systems that run them, and the intricate code behind their functionality. This deep curiosity motivated me to pursue a course in computer science that aligns with my passion for understanding and contributing to the evolving world of technology.
Why did you decide to study the course at LSBU in particular?
The renowned reputation of LSBU is one of the main factors in my decision. Considering that a good education is crucial for success in any field, I am drawn to LSBU because of its outstanding academic reputation. The university's desirability is further strengthened by its outstanding employability rates after graduation, which reassure me that my investment in LSBU education will pay off in the competitive job market.
What are the benefits of studying/working in Computer Science/IT?
Careers in Computer Science and IT are all about innovation and creativity, whether it’s solving complex problems, designing smarter algorithms, or building new technologies, there’s always room to think outside the box and make something unique.
What were some of the highlights of your studies?
Me and my team designed a game for an open day at the university. We used neural networks and machine learning for motion tracking. That way we were able to make a game where you use your body to dodge projectiles and collect points which made it both interactive for the people at the open day and intrigued them to coding.
Describe some of the support that was available to you.
My parents were always supporting me throughout the whole journey.
Do you have any advice for students who are thinking of studying Computer Science/IT at LSBU?
Attend as much events as possible, always try to learn new things.
