Ralfe E Aslam Raja, International Business Management Student and Golf Champion

MSc International Business Management student, Ralfe E Aslam Raja, wins first place at the 2024 Pakistan National Amateur Gold Championship.

Ralfe has represented Pakistan twice internationally at the prestigious Nomura cup in Vietnam as well as the amateur open in Bangladesh. He has competed regularly at the national level, with a career highlight being his recent title at the Pakistan national amateur golf championships.

With his ambition to secure a spot on a European professional tour over the next few seasons, Ralfe has also been accepted onto the prestigious Royal and Ancient Scholarship scheme, which aims to support the performance development of student golfers to become future champions. Support from the R&A Foundation has helped develop the likes of Hideki Matsuyama, Catriona Matthew and Francesco Molinari, who are amongst the world’s best golfers.

We are really looking forward to supporting Ralfe as he becomes the first Sport Scholar to represent LSBU within BUCS golf competition.

Hear what Ralfe has to say about joining the LSBU Active Sports Scholarship scheme:

“Hi, I’m Ralfe E Aslam Raja, a passionate golfer and student from Rawalpindi, Pakistan. I’m currently in my first year of an MSc in International Business Management at London South Bank University. As a scratch handicapper and a proud member of the Pakistan national golf team, I’ve had the honour of representing my country internationally twice—at the prestigious Nomura Cup in Vietnam and the Amateur Open in Bangladesh. I also compete at the national level, with a career highlight being my win this year at Pakistan’s largest amateur golf championship, the National Amateur Golf Championship, earning recognition through news articles and television interviews.

This is my first year as an LSBU Active Scholar, and I’m excited for the comprehensive support it provides, including rehab, sports science, a free gym, and other resources, which will help me balance academics, training, and competitions while striving to achieve even greater heights in both my studies and my sport.”
