Why did you choose to study Business Management?

I chose to study Business Management in finance because I’m passionate about understanding how money drives business decisions. This field equips me with the skills to analyse financial data, manage resources wisely, and make strategic choices. It’s a great path for building a successful and impactful career in finance.

As an international student, why did you choose to study at LSBU?

As an international student from India, I chose to study at London South Bank University because of its strong reputation for practical, career-focused education and its diverse, welcoming environment. The university’s central London location offers great exposure to global businesses and networking opportunities. I was also drawn to its excellent support services for international students, which made the transition smoother and more comfortable.

How do you think LSBU is preparing you for your career?

LSBU is preparing me for a career in the banking sector by providing a strong foundation in finance, risk management, and business strategy. The practical approach to learning, including real-world case studies and projects using highend applications like Sage50, helps me apply theory to real situations. Access to experienced lecturers and career support services also gives me the confidence and skills needed to succeed in the competitive banking industry.

What are the benefits of working in the Business Solutions Centre?

Working at the Business Solution Centre at LSBU has been an incredibly valuable experience. It’s allowed me to apply my academic knowledge to real-world business challenges and develop essential skills like communication, teamwork, and problem-solving. I’ve gained hands-on experience that has helped build my confidence and strengthen my CV. It’s also been a great way to understand how different industries operate and make professional connections that could benefit my future career. Overall, it’s a unique and rewarding part of being a student at LSBU.

What advice would you give to anyone thinking about studying Business Management?

My advice to anyone thinking about studying Business Management is to stay curious and open to learning from real-world experiences. Focus on developing both analytical and communication skills, as both are essential in this field. It’s a versatile degree that opens many doors, so make the most of every opportunity.

Favourite memory of LSBU so far?

My favourite memory of LSBU so far is hanging out with friends after classes and exploring the cafes and spots around South Bank, thanks to its amazing central location. I also enjoyed working on a group project that brought us together and attending a networking event that connected me with industry professionals. Another reason is the vibrant campus life—there’s always something happening, from student events to workshops, which makes it easy to meet new people and stay engaged outside of academics. It’s helped me feel more connected and balanced at LSBU.

What are your plans when you finish your course?

When I finish my course in Business Management in finance, I plan to pursue a career in the banking sector, ideally starting in a graduate role at a reputable financial institution. I want to apply the knowledge and skills I’ve gained at LSBU in areas like risk analysis, financial planning, and investment strategy. My goal is to grow within the industry and eventually take on a leadership role in banking.
