Crime Scene Flat
Our Crime Scene Flat, disguised as a normal home, allows students to simulate crime scenarios and employ newly-learned techniques to evaluate crime scenesThe Crime Scene Flat is a furnished three bedroom flat with a lounge, kitchen and bathroom.
Each room has the potential to be configured to represent a different crime scenario, offering students the opportunity to search for evidence appropriate to the crime being investigated.
It is used to demonstrate various practical aspects of forensic science, including a group crime scene examination exercise conducted in Year 2 and workshops on fire scene examination and blood pattern analysis delivered as part of an enrichment week.
We are also working with local police forces to explore the wider use of the flat for practitioner training and competency assessments.
