We currently partner with over 2,000 organisations to provide education to 7000 employees. These include multinationals, SMEs and the public sector. In fact, sponsored students make up 1/3 of our student population, making us the top London university for employer sponsored study.

We focus on developing professional skills and are expert in providing relevant training for the modern market. You'll also find our flexible approach ensures what we deliver suits workplace requirements. Our courses are kept right up to date by highly qualified staff, who maintain strong links with employers, professional bodies and public and private sector enterprises.

Modes of delivery

We offer flexible delivery to ensure that our options match your business requirements. This includes part-time study, day release and apprenticeships.

Types of qualifications

We offer Employer Sponsored Study at the following levels:

  • HNCs/HNDs
  • BSc/BA/BEng/MEng
  • PgDip/MA/MSc (including graduate conversion courses)
  • Specialist Master level courses
  • PhDs

We also offer a range of CPD courses and study options. These include:

Apprenticeship Standards

  • We are a leading provider of Higher and Degree Apprenticeships (Level 4-7). Over 300 apprentices from 90 employers are currently enrolled on apprenticeships with us. We are currently delivering a suite of Apprenticeship Standards, with many more in the pipeline. If you cannot find a relevant apprenticeship standard then it is either because LSBU does not offer it or it has not been approved as an apprenticeship standard by government. In this case you have the option to send someone to study at LSBU via the employer sponsored route, where the tuition fee is paid by the employer and/or the student rather than via the apprenticeship levy. CPPD: Health and Social Care

  • The School of Health and Social Care is the largest provider of CPPD for the health workforce in the South East of the UK. The portfolio offers training for bands 1-7 healthcare professionals. CPD: Education

  • Continuing Professional Development (CPD) education modules are aimed at qualified teachers currently working in primary schools, early years settings or special schools. Find out more about CPD Education.

CPD: Editing and Post-Production (EPP)

  • Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Editing and Post Production modules are aimed at film makers and industry professionals looking to improve skills they already have and learn new skills within the chosen topic.
