Details
Professor David Andrew Phoenix is the Vice-Chancellor of London South Bank University and CEO of the LSBU Group. In addition to being the Accountable Officer for the university, he is the Accountable Officer for South Bank Colleges and Principal Accounting Officer for South Bank Academies. His research as a molecular engineer was recognised by election to Fellowship of the Royal Academy of Engineering and Royal College of Physicians (Edin).
He has previously served as a Non-Executive Director of Universities UK, the National Centre for Universities and Business, Chair of Million+, Vice Chair of The Science Museum Group and was the UK representative on the European Committee of Biological Associations. His work on education policy and skills development led to Fellowship of the Academy of Social Sciences. He is a Deputy Lieutenant of Greater London and was awarded an OBE for services to science and education.
